Vimoh Writes

Vijayendra Mohanty is the co-creator of the comic book series Ravanayan, which was the story of the Ramayana from the point of view of Ravana, its chief antagonist. He also wrote for and ran the YouTube channel Epified, which was about Indian mythology, philosophy, history, and folklore. You may have also seen Epified videos on TV’s Epic Channel.

The author also publishes videos in Hindi on YouTube on his personal YouTube channel. He used to be regular on Twitter and Instagram but is not present on any social media platforms anymore on account of the fact that these are literal hellholes designed to sap life, joy, and creativity from the human mind. He also used to run a live debate / discussion podcast series called Vimoh Live which ran for three years and was concluded in December 2024.

When he is not writing essays or recording podcasts, he spends his time reading science fiction and fantasy novels and books about culture and technology.

ATGC Indian High School Workshop

This 4-day camp was designed to engage high school students in synthetic biology. To inspire SynBio ideas we have made the concept of idea generation graspable and enjoyable!

The workshop was divided into two modules, emphasizing a hands-on approach - the first focusing on incorporating synthetic biology fundamentals, and the second a “SynBio Auction”. The Synbio Auction will allowed the students to apply the concepts they have learned and propose a strategy to solve a real-life problem, giving them an actual flavor of current cutting-edge synbio innovation.

Classical Traditions

Seattle Peace Chorus, directed by Frederick N. West, builds a song bridge spanning Eastern and Western classical traditions. For the first half of the concert, with guest artists South Indian violinist Amrutha Varshini Achalla, tabla player Anil Prasad, and composer and lead vocalist Richard Russell, the chorus performs original kirtan music. For the second half, Amrutha, Anil, and a string quartet led by guest artist Matt Weiss accompany our performance of movements from Beethoven’s Mass in C. The chorus also sings Maurice Duruflé’s “Ubi Caritas” and other compositions.
