Open Score: The State of Art & Technology
Open Score was an annual symposium that explored the state of art and technology. Convening luminary artists, curators, researchers, and writers to discuss how technology is transforming culture, the first edition of Open Score considered how artists responded to new conditions of surveillance and hypervisibility; how social media’s mass creativity interfaced with branding and identity for individual artists; how the quality and texture of art criticism evolved in a digital age; and what the future of internet art might be in light of a broader assimilation of digital technologies.
Supported by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Open Score: Art and Technology 2016 marked the fiftieth anniversary of the groundbreaking initiative Experiments in Art and Technology. The conference’s title was taken from Rauschenberg’s live performance Open Score during one of E.A.T.’s most iconic events, "9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering."

ctrl-alt-rees
Welcome to my channel, ctrl-alt-rees! I'm Rees. Obviously.
I restore, repair, upgrade, modify and maintain all of retro computers and consoles in my collection myself and I'm keen to share not only the process but the end results. I also do a bit of retro game collecting on the side as well as putting out the odd educational or computer history video, as well as electronics tutorials and reviews of gadgets and retrospectives of my favourite retro games.
If you're interested in learning more about computer and gaming history and how to really get the most out of your retro systems why not give my channel a subscribe? I'm currently aiming to release at least one video per week covering whatever I'm currently tinkering with.
I also have a website over at https://ctrl-alt-rees.com.

KDE Dev-Vlog Complete (English Subtitles)
The start of this video series is about a revamp of KDE's default image viewer's user interface. The first three videos (jokingly titled the "Gwenview Trilogy") follow this development, with the first video introducing the changes that lead up to the re-designs.
The second video is quite different from the first one. It is slightly thrilling at times and also has more of a focus on showing the work processes instead of mostly presenting the results and thoughts behind it.
The third video is more like the first one with the release date just around the corner. Five remaining problems are pointed out and how we are able to implement solutions to most of them in time for the Gwenview 21.08 release.
The fourth video is about a spectacular video about an unspectacular change in Spectacle.
The fifth video talks about my motivations behind implementing one of the biggest changes to KDE's default file manager Dolphin in recent years.
Interview with Chrissy Stroop, Transwoman and Exvangelical Activist
Here are all the videos I've done with my friend Chrissy Stroop, a late-in-life-transitional transwoman and one of the founders of the "Exvangelical movement," which seeks to highlight the abuses of the Evangelical church and community to its members, as well as how Evangelicalism has strongly shaped so much of the legislation and so-called morality of United States culture.
You can find Chrissy's work, as well as contact her through social media, here:
