Todd Samra (BMI) is a freelance musicologist, composer, and arranger based in Hong Kong and Monterey, California. He is a frequent piano recitalist in the U.S. and abroad. Specializing in French, English, and American music repertory, Dr. Samra brings a vibrant freshness to all kinds of musical styles from pop and rock, to jazz and classical genres.
Dr. Samra teaches a variety of courses in music history at California State University Monterey Bay; previously served as the music historian in residence with the Monterey Symphony (CA), and as professor of music at St. Joseph’s College (IN). He was also active serving Episcopal and United Methodist churches for over thirty years. He earned his Doctor of Arts in Music degree from Ball State University, and the Master of Music from the University of Missouri.
