#008: Windows 8 Performance on an 8 Year Old Laptop (Thinkpad X41)
I recently retired my good old IBM Thinkpad X41 tablet laptop and decided to experiment with Windows 8. The claim had been that the system requirements were even lower than Windows 7 and I wanted to see just how low that could actually be. In all ...
A Naked Vlog Response to Trisha Hershberger's Naked Truth (8 year old video reupload)
I was watching and reminiscing about some of my oldest videos, and my supporters told me I should reupload this very old video from the very beginning of Topless Topics here on Peertube in case if/when Youtube deletes my entire account. :) Before that happens, you can see the original comments left on it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkcgptCjJcg
You can watch the VOD of the livestream where I reacted to this and old videos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxF6_LJoR0Q
I wanna edit highlights out of the livestream eventually, but I already have so many other videos I filmed but haven't edited to put up for the first time that that's probably not a realistic goal...hopefully when I go to Vidcon in one month, I can find a video editor to hire, that would be lovely (:

Improved performance (2x) and stability (2021 May 8)
Parallel speed up of ~3.5x on 4 cores. This is running on a 7 year old MacBook Pro, so I'm hoping it will be quite a bit faster on recent hardware. Written in Rust, using Rayon to distribute work among cores.

FourDay Planet
LibriVox recording of Four-Day Planet, by H. Beam Piper. Read by Mark Nelson.
Fenris isn't a hell planet, but it's nobody's bargain. With 2,000-hour days and an 8,000-hour year, it alternates blazing heat with killing cold. A planet like that tends to breed a special kind of person: tough enough to stay alive and smart enough to make the best of it. When that kind of person discovers he's being cheated of wealth he's risked his life for, that kind of planet is ripe for revolution. (Introduction from the Gutenberg text)

8. The Player
Humans and animals play and this renders them familiar with their environments. We zoom in on scientists who combine play and mathematics, and see how playing with matter yields new materials with special properties. How are humans as players related to science?
