Humans and animals play and this renders them familiar with their environments. We zoom in on scientists who combine play and mathematics, and see how playing with matter yields new materials with special properties. How are humans as players related to science?

What is the environmental impact and how to reduce it?

With guest artists Chava Mirel, Kent Stevenson, and Mary Kantor, plus a personal recorded message from environmentalist Bill McKibben, features movements from "Upon This Land: an environmental oratorio" and other works celebrating the beauty of the earth and calling for stewardship of the land and all its creatures.
