Nix Your Bugs #5
One year after our first Nix & Rust meetup, we are meeting again in Heidelberg for our first anniversary! 🎊 Note that for the first time, this meetup is only about Nix and NixOS, the declarative package manager and Linux distribution. Mac (Nix on darwin) users are welcome as well! Our Rust Your Engines anniversary meetup for the Rust programming language will be announced separately.
The event is organized by Hackerstolz, a non-profit association from Mannheim with a focus on digital education. We are always looking for new active members, and for students, membership is free. If you are interested in organizing workshops, meetups or hackathons related to digital education and/or technology, get in touch with us at the meetup or send an email to info@hackerstolz.de. We'd love to welcome you and support you in organizing new events.
(1986) On Logo : Seymour Papert
In 1986 Seymour Papert, the "father of Logo," collaborated with award-winning filmmaker William Schwartz and Elizabeth Schwartz, who was Assistant Superintendent of the Ladue, Missouri School District, to produce Seymour Papert On Logo.
In this video series, Papert shares his vision of thinking, learning, and teaching in a computer culture, and also addresses technical issues about Logo and programming more generally.
Seymour Papert On Logo offers a window into a time when computers and Logo had been in widespread use in schools for just a few years, while also delving into issues about computing and education that remain relevant today.
The Seymour Papert On Logo video series has two parts:
- New Mindstorms focuses on the process and the principles of learning.
- Logo Hurdles is about specific technical aspects of Logo.

NRK Newton - Pubertet
Newton is a science programme for children and young people. The target group is from 8 to 12 years, that is to say children who have either entered puberty or are about to.
In the series about puberty we convey openly and frankly what happens to the body in the transition from child to adult. How the skeleton grows, why girls bleed, about spots and blushing and involuntary ejaculations. What happens to breasts and sexual organs, how the voice changes and how emotions are in turmoil. In short, how the human body grows and changes from child to adult in order to make babies.
