The MOSAIC project aims to promote the health of local cross-border populations in East Africa and the Amazon stating that, insofar people are involved in data and knowledge co-production with scientists, they are capable of exploiting complex and multi-thematic data, information and knowledge on their environment, health, well-being and practices, in order to adopt acceptable, feasible and sustainable adaptation and mitigation solutions.

Outre l'installation d'une version "dégoogle-isée" d'Android, l'une des deux façons de bouter les GAFAM (Google Amazon Facebook Apple Microsoft) hors de l'OS (Operating System = Système d'Exploitation) d'un smartphone Android : tout en gardant le système d'origine (smartphone non supporté, besoin de monter en niveau...) le libérer comme suit :

• remplacer le PlayStore par un/des magasins d'applications alternatifs, non intrusifs
• transiter des applications propriétaires (dont celles pré-installées par Google, la marque du fabriquant...), vers des alternatives libres et open source;
• synchroniser les données sur une alternative vertueuse à Google Drive
• auditer la fuite de données, s'en protéger
• retirer les surcouches Google et constructeur , avec ADB - Android Debug Bridge, une fois les synchro vers les services alternatifs réalisées
• soustraire Google du cœur du système : désactiver le "Google ID" , remplacer l'annuaire internet "DNS" par celui d'un service non intrusif...
