This is the second chapter from the 1983 horror omnibus Nightmares featuring JJ Cooney (Emilio Estevez), a video game obsessed teen who finds himself in a life and death battle with the Bishop. It has some unbelievable footage of an arcade in Los Angeles, as well as another, presumably within a mall in the Valley, but it may be a film stage given the action that takes place there. The soundtrack is also filled with great LA punk bands Fear, Black Flag, and Negative Trend.

The Fediverse, you might have heard of it. From Mastodon to Peertube and more—it’s is a collection of different services that are all working together to form an interconnected universe of applications. It sounds unbelievable, but it’s here today. You can follow me over here on Mastodon.

It wrests control of the web out of the hands of corporate oligarchs and digital tycoons and returns that power to where it belongs: us.

I’ve gone down this rabbit hole of discovery. I’ve passed through the looking glass. I’ve seen the promised land. And now, I want to share this with you.
