Vijayendra Mohanty is the co-creator of the comic book series Ravanayan, which was the story of the Ramayana from the point of view of Ravana, its chief antagonist. He also wrote for and ran the YouTube channel Epified, which was about Indian mythology, philosophy, history, and folklore. You may have also seen Epified videos on TV’s Epic Channel.

The author also publishes videos in Hindi on YouTube on his personal YouTube channel. He used to be regular on Twitter and Instagram but is not present on any social media platforms anymore on account of the fact that these are literal hellholes designed to sap life, joy, and creativity from the human mind. He also used to run a live debate / discussion podcast series called Vimoh Live which ran for three years and was concluded in December 2024.

When he is not writing essays or recording podcasts, he spends his time reading science fiction and fantasy novels and books about culture and technology.

Coming from an artistic background, I collaborated with professional photographers including one of the most talented of the 20th century in the macro and the artistic nude, Pierre Jean Amar, Gérard Chesneau (Eidercreation), a producer and others in the entertainment business when I was a kid. Artistic black and white has an essential spiritual dimension to my life.
I continue to develop photo sessions on specific themes that join the body, the links and the universal symbolism of creation. However I am moving more towards directing, writing scripts, poetry and production.
My first film, The major affairs (part 1), was selected more than ten times and received four first prizes. A third one is being shot and another in early September 2023.

FIXER is an ongoing research project to read and map various developments in the practice of art collectives in Indonesia. Different from FIXER 2010, this year FIXER was initiated and presented in the format of a book containing the results of the research and readings of the FIXER research team, several writings by invited authors from curators/researchers/art observers, and writings from various art collectives in Indonesia.
