Making and repairing

Andy's often quirky projects have been exhibited, featured in magazines and even won him a trip to New York.

Following a recent move to Scotland the workshop is bigger and the projects more ambitious.

Founded in 2010, Seven on Seven (7x7) pairs artists with tech luminaries for deep conversation and day-long collaboration. Each pair is given a simple assignment: make something new.

The results–which may be an app, a prototype, a performance, an artwork–are unveiled for the first time at a public event. Many of the projects go on to further development and exhibition.

Over the years, 7x7 has given rise to notable projects and conversations:

In 2014, artist Kevin McCoy minted “the first NFT” as part of his collaboration with technologist Anil Dash.

An artwork presented by artist Taryn Simon and programmer/activist Aaron Swartz at 7x7 2012 has gone on to be exhibited around the world, and covered in publications such as the New York Times.

And on the lighter side, artist Jayson Musson and Jonah Peretti presented a satirical demo for a new social network called Blockedt! at 7x7 2017.

Underrated Fest was an annual music event hosted by Straight Edge Punks Cooperative Entertainment from 2019 to 2024 it seeked to showcase musicians and artists that we're not given the light of day by their respective community usually because the local promotion entities held conservative values during its 6 year run underrated Fest gave a spotlight to the underappreciated the never utilized or just collectively underrated performers mainly in the New York City or Albany New York area. Despite underrated fests popularity with the younger generation and even the talent that was performing at it local conservative promotion entities started using overreach of their unjustified Monopoly Authority to effectively make venues refuse underrated Fest leading to straight edge punks Cooperative entertainment deciding it was no longer viable to even bother doing the event anymore and so it was retired. This Peer Tube Channel serves as an archive to Underrated Fest to document its legacy
